Prologue: The Silent Squall
The warehouse was silent. Silent until the clicking of boots against the concrete echoed between the stacks of boxes that filled the building. A group of three individuals, dressed in black walked towards one of the few lights on in the entire warehouse.
“I don't like this Marko sir,” one of the individuals, a feminine voice, spoke out. “We shouldn't have come here.”
“Quiet,” the man in front replied. “Our informant has been reliable. If there is a way to rebuild Team Rocket back to its glory, then we shall do so.”
“Yes sir,” she replied.
The group walked up to where a single light illuminated the area in a faint glow. The faint light casted deep shadows along their faces, hidden partially by the gatsby caps on their heads. Marko wasn't wearing a hat, but instead his bright green hair was combed over to the side, trying to hide the scars he had received from one of the Rocket's previous exploits in Mount Moon back in Kanto. His outfit was mostly strict Team Rocket attire, save for the semi-cape over his left shoulder.
“Well if it isn't Marko,” said a nearly aristocratic voice from the shadows.
The Rockets turned towards the voice and Marko kept his ground, glaring in the direction.
Who stepped out was an elder man, with sweeping red hair combed back behind his head. He was wearing a red and black jacket that went down to his knees and black pants. Behind him were two other members, dressed similarly. Their outfits, however, resembled more cosplay hoodie outfits as horned lizards with red scales and black spikes. One was female, and the other was a male.
“Maxie,” Marko replied, keeping his emotions under control. “What's the meaning of this? You know we don't deal with Team Magma.”
“I'm surprised you're still able to get around,” Maxie replied. “What with Rocket's funds being frozen after Giovanni left you to fend for yourselves.”
“Oh shrivel in the heat and die you hot-head,” another voice rang out, a deeper more sea-faring voice. Another man, followed on both sides by his subordinates came into the light. He was wearing a blue bandanna, and a black suit. One of his members only had a vest and pants, showing off a large figure, slightly unfit, but bulky. The other looked more like a pirate with her red hair sticking out from under her bandanna.
“Archie,” Maxie commented, holding back a sneer.
“So why'd you call us here Marko,” Archie spoke to the current Rocket head, ignoring the Magma leader for the moment. “You know the last thing I want is to be near this steaming pile of...”
“Hold your tongue you salt-caked Feebas!” one of Maxie's subordinates shouted out.
“Who you calling a Feebas, you Ponyta's ass!”
“Quiet!” a stern voice shouted as another set of individuals, a man and two women walked up. “You're both like children fighting over who caught the largest Caterpie.” The leader had beady eyes, and his hair was wildly spiked and a blue tint. All three were dressed in alternate banding of white and black stripes, with a golden “G” over their hearts. One woman was wearing a broad hoop skirt while the other's outfit was more tight fitting and showing off some of the skin of her left thigh.
“I find it hard to believe that you're here Cyrus,” Marko commented. “I heard you tried to destroy the world, how'd that go for you?”
“I heard Giovanni lost his nerve after a kid beat him,” Cyrus replied, causing the Magma and Aqua members to snicker. “If that's the kind of resolve you Rockets have then it's no surprise your group broke down like a house of cards.”
Marko gritted his teeth and reached for a black Poké Ball. His two subordinates did as well. The Magma, Aqua, and Galactic team members each had their Poké Balls in hand and ready to throw down.
It wasn't a surprise that four of the world's most notorious criminal organizations didn't care for one another. While Magma and Aqua's hatred towards one another was based on differing desires to change the world. Rocket was viewed as nothing more than a poaching gimmick and small time theives, and Galactic was merely a cult dying to bring about the end of the world. Each viewed themselves better than the others, and the politics between the groups lead to a fair number of conflicts where their territories overlapped.
“Come on Arked,” Maxie teased. “Let's finish this.”
“You first Maxima,” Archie repleid.
“I'll make you eat those words, necro,” Marko snarled to Cyrus.
“Once a petty thief, always a thief,” the Galactic leader replied.
Before any of the different crime syndicates could release, a high pitched screech echoed through the warehouse. Everyone covered their ears as the sound nearly deafened them. There were shouts and accusations towards each other as the screech left their ears ringing.
“Good,” said a calm voice as everyone's ears slowly stopped ringing. “Now that I have your attention...”
They all turned towards the voice as another light came on in the warehouse. In the center of the light was a woman, dressed in what looked like evening wear, with a long dress that was pitch black against her pale skin. Glasses reflected the light and hid her eyes as her long black hair seemed to hang down from her head. Slithering next to her was a Dragonair, quite content with himself on disrupting the fight that nearly broke down and causing a few headaches.
“Oh?” Archie stated. “And who are you?”
“My name is Scelia,” she said raising her head, allowing them a look at her dark black eyes. “And I summoned you here on behalf of my employer.”
“Your employer?” Maxie shouted. “Who's that?!”
“Questions for a latter time,” she said as she dismissed the question with a wave. “My employer wanted to bring you together to offer you all an option.”
“And what's that?” Marko asked.
Scelia smiled a thin, inhuman smile. “Follow him, or perish.”
There was an uproar from the four teams, each individual voicing their objections to being ordered around. This was silenced by another Supersonic from the Dragonair, more intense than the previous sonic attack.
“I suggest you don't take this offer lightly,” she warned as the teams hearing slowly came back. “My employer does not accept no for an answer, and he's requested you each for specific reasons.”
“And what reasons are those?” Cyrus demanded.
She started pacing around the group, with her Dragonair following close behind. “Each Team has areas that they excel in. Rockets are able to catch rare and difficult Pokémon with relative ease, and have their own connections to the underworld for discrete transport and black market dealings. The Magmas and Aquas are strong battlers on their own right, but your strengths could be better used when working together instead of banging your heads together. And Galactic. You have vast resources and manpower, along with access to advanced technologies due to your leader's day job.”
“So your boss wants us to work for him like a bunch of second rate henchmen?” Marko asked.
“More of a partnership.”
“Bullshit!” Maxie exclaimed. “I ain't workin' for no one that doesn't have the balls to come here himself!”
Scelia's eyes narrowed. With a quick snap of her fingers her Dragonair coiled, charging up a static charge before unleashing it towards Maxie. Catching the Aqua leader in the blast, the human's muscles locked up and he dropped to the ground as various motor nerves failed to work.
“I will not have my employer talked about in such a fashion, by something with an IQ of a barnacle”
The other Aqua members shouted before unleashing their Pokémon, followed by defiant shouts from the remaining teams as they released their Pokémon as well, and having them all attack.
In the aftermath, the various teams were defeated, even the trainers had been targeted by attacks as Scelia and her Dragonair sneered.
“That was only a taste of the strength my employer has, I suggest you remember it.”
Cyrus pushed himself up, his clothing torn and burnt. A line of blood ran down his face. “Wh-what does he want us to do?”
Scelia smiled. “Work for him. No longer will the syndicates be divided as such. We will work under a single banner. Each former team will use their skills for our benefit.”
“The birth, of Team Eternia.”

Message:
We are pleased to inform you that the region of Gesai (map attached) will be holding its first competitive season for Pokémon trainers. For a long time, Gesai has not had any means or interest in having a Pokémon League of our very own, with much of our native trainers participating in the leagues of neighboring regions. After much effort and support we are starting our very first league season in the next three weeks. Trainers of every rank and region are invited by this special invitation to come to Gesai and participate in the Gesai League.
If you are interested in participating in the League, please follow the information in this e-mail in redeeming your own ticket of travel on the Celeste, a five star cruise liner, with stops in Vermillion City, Olivine City, Slateport City, and Sunnyshore City just to name a few.
I hope to see you battle your hardest in our League and explore the wonders and beauty of Gesai.
Sincerely,
Airdle Manharst
Gesai Pokémon League President.

Welcome to the RPG. A little dramatic I must admit, however it starts to set the mood. At this moment, the trainers from various regions across the world have been invited to participate in the opening of the Gesai Pokémon League. Gesai is a region between Kanto/Johto and Hoenn, and has various Pokémon that inhabits it. More information on the region will be revealed shortly, however for those of us ready to get some RP in before the event kicks off, this is for that topic.
At this point in the story, many of the trainers and all of the Player Characters are on the cruise liner Celeste en route to Gensai with the opening of the League in a few short days. The ship is scheduled to dock the evening before the opening celebration and the handing out of the first Pokémon to new trainers.
As the Game Master (hence, GM) I shall moderate the pace of what happens, when, and how. The story will be split into parts, and when a part ends and a new part begins, I shall update with a synopsis of What has gone before in order to bring everyone (new and old) up to speed.
Let's get started.
